Dhand Capital Group Founder and CEO Rohin Dhand successfully renovates his first property (in his home city of Leeds) and discovers his flair for property development.
Following the success of his first development, Rohin joins Mayfair Group Investment, a property development company, focusing on luxury residential property developments.
Mayfair Group Investment begins to acquire property in Leeds City Centre (LS1) to undertake further luxury developments in the city centre.
Mayfair Group Investment (MGI) diversifies into primary care property investment and develops St Martin’s House Medical Centre in Leeds, with Rohin taking responsibility for all management aspects of the project. In addition, MGI acquires GP surgery premises in West Yorkshire.
As the Mayfair Group Investment property portfolio grows, Rohin teams up with childhood friend Edward Wick to found Penguin Facilities Management after observing the opportunity drive greater building and asset efficiencies. Penguin FM quickly builds a solid client base and expands its services across the UK to work with a range of blue-chip organisations.
After recognising opportunities to streamline construction processes and deliver greater efficiencies, Rohin founds Dhand Construction, a main contractor focusing on developments for Mayfair Group Investment.
More successful primary care and residential developments follow for Mayfair Group Investment and Dhand Construction. This includes flagship Leeds residential development 49A St Pauls Street and sees the creation of Leeds city centre’s most expensive apartment complex, The Trilogy, which pushes the boundaries of luxury property development in Yorkshire.
As Dhand Construction builds a strong reputation in construction, the contractor begins to build for external clients across a range of sectors, including primary care, retail, industrial and hospitality, with key clients including healthcare property investors PHP and international food and beverage operator Tim Hortons.
2022 sees the development of an industry leading primary care development model and a record number of primary care developments in the pipeline for Mayfair Group Investment. In addition, the MGI team have pioneered frameworks and partnerships with several local authorities, which will see the development of more primary care premises for communities across the UK, over the next five years.
